tekMIRA 80s-Themed Farewell and Welcome Party

2022 is the year where creativity is reborn. To have a memorable and fun farewell party with their long-loved leader, Ministry of ESDM's tekMIRA wanted a budget-friendly but still on point decorations. A week before the event, they reached us out for help. Initially, old school-themed party was chosen. But, after consulting us, they agreed to change the theme into Upbeat 80s, making it possible for the old staffs to sing along and fun enough for the younger staffs to dance.

Since the budget and time was tight, we chose to produce big and major elements while making use of any elements existed at their venue as many as possible. Neon colors were chosen, ranging from blue, yellow, white, bright gold, and bright magenta to attract attention. Of course, we didn't forget the lighting as it would significantly add dramatic effect to the atmosphere. We all knew that disco lamp would be perfect. But, it was unaffordable due to the budget. Therefore, we used tricks to turn moving beam into disco lamp.

Although tekMIRA only ordered party decoration to us, we added special service of event consultation. As they aimed for a very fun party, we proposed for tekMIRA to create sub-events where all fields and divisions could equally participate. It didn't take long for tekMIRA to choose fashion show, talent show, and a gimmick where all the attendees would ask their current leader, who will soon leave, and their upcoming leader, who they welcomed, to sing and dance together as the party's peak. For additional fun, we also provided carry-on properties such as sunglasses, wigs, and other 80s elements to enhance their pre-determined dress-code, especially when taking photos.

Finally, it was a hit. We were very happy to know that tekMIRA loved our decorations and our proposed concept. So much thanks to tekMIRA for #SeemoreHappiness with us!
