Strengthen Bonds Between Families for SMAT Krida Nusantara

SMAT Krida Nusantara is famous for its military concept, where students are put in the dormitories and are educated similar to military soldiers. While students are being taught the concept of solidarity and unity at school, their parents see the need of knowing each other. Therefore, they reach us out to organize a gathering for students and their families.

The event began with traditional dance opening, where students and parents were able to enjoy the beautiful Modern Jaipong dance. Following the opening, we created an opportunity for students and parents to introduce themselves through a fun fashion show. As students and parents walked the red carpet and presented themselves at the stage, all the other attendees could see their faces and remembered their name, which served as a perfect beginning of their introduction.

Since the students come from different backgrounds, it was necessary to create a concept of gathering which able to blend everyone in. Therefore, to erase boundaries, we created games where students and parents were allowed to participate as random couples. Games were played by individuals as well as small and large groups, enabling different interactions and making it possible for every participants to get to know each other during every play.

Last, the event was ended by touching speeches coming from the representative of the parents, representative of the students, and their guiding teacher. In this last session, every party delivered their honest and sincere feeling towards each other, as well as telling hopes and wishes for them to keep uniting until the students graduated.

Rain poured at the end of the event, but everyone was happy thanks to a very heartwarming gathering. We were so proud of getting the chance to #SeemoreHappiness with SMAT Krida Nusantara. May we see each other very soon!
